Last month, I decided to try dairy-free for a week. Then, one week into “dairy-free,” I got my period, so I had to extend the one week trial run (with my period, I would not be able to fairly assess the size or feel of my tummy). Then, I had the 12-day-what-the-f-long-ass period. And here we are. Post menstrual cycle and dairy-free for what feels like about a month.
So what’s the verdict? Though I definitely had significantly less tummy issues (i.e., no gas), otherwise, I did not really feel a difference, and…I really missed my greek yogurt and feta cheese. I do think the lactose is not my stomach’s friend, so I will try to at least limit dairy products in my diet, but the dairy-free trial run if officially over.
Next up, I may just give the gluten free thing a whirl. Maybe.
